Add a New Disk

List all Disk

lsblk
fdisk -l
sudo lshw -C disk

Mount Disk (sdb durch gewünschte Disk ersetzen)

fdsik /dev/sdb

• n – Create partition

• p – print partition table

• d – delete a partition

• q – exit without saving the changes

• w – write the changes and exit.

P-Primary: Darf es bis zu 4 Geben E-Extended:

Default wenn 1. Partition

W: Für Speichern und beenden

Format Disk

mkfs.ext4 /dev/sdb1n

Mount Disk

At first we need to create a new folder, where we wanna mount our disk. Then we can mount our Disk to this place.

mkdir /media/newdisk
mount /dev/sdb1 /media/newdisk

Mount at startup

1. open file "etc/fstab" with sudo rights

2. Add line "/dev/sda4 /media/LinuxLaufwerk ext4 defaults 0 2"

3. Option Dump default 0

4. Option pass for root filesystem 1 rest 2
